(For Immediate Release) December 7, 2009, Augusta, ME: BitSec Global Forensics, the leader in computer forensics and information security training worldwide, continues to expand its management staff in its New England offices. Gary C. Kessler has been named BitSec Global Forensics’ Training and Curriculum Development Director and will support BitSec’s offices in Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.
Gary C. Kessler serves as a Senior Cyber Terrorism Consultant to the U.S. State Department Office of Anti Terrorism Assistance. Kessler is also a consultant, educator, and practitioner in the areas of computer and network forensics, mobile device forensics, computer and network security, TCP/IP and the Internet, and computer networking.

Kessler is a member of the Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and an adjunct associate professor at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia and.
While serving as an Associate Professor at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, Kessler created the undergraduate Computer & Digital Forensics, Computer Networking, and Information Security majors; the M.S. in Digital Investigation Management program, and the Champlain College Center for Digital Investigation. Kessler will continue to serve on the adjunct faculty at Champlain College.
Kessler is a Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Digital Forensics Certified Practitioner (DFCP). He is also an associate editor of the Journal of Digital Forensics Practice and the associate editor-in-chief of the Journal of Digital Forensics, Security and Law. Kessler has also written two books and over sixty articles and papers. He is active in academic and industry conferences, such as HTCIA, Mobile Forensics World, and the SANS Forensics Summit.
Kessler starts with BitSec Global Forensics January 1, 2010. He will be presenting at the U.S. Department of Defense Cybercrime Conference later that month about the use of Cryptography by Terrorist Organizations.
